The City of Poughkeepsie, New York and surrounding areas have a vast, diverse array of creative talent encompassing a wide variety of art forms.​ Public art, galleries, arts-loving businesses, and venues for arts, culture and entertainment contribute to our local economy and the vitality and esthetics of our city.​
The most valuable asset we have is the shared belief within our arts community that focus on arts and culture has tremendous potential to increase community engagement, to increase the vitality of our area, and to stimulate economic growth.​​
